Bio

I've been involved in personal training since I was a teenager competing and working for my boxing gym in New Zealand. As a young athlete I experienced what it means to train twice a day, 6 days a week and to be the best in my division. You can only truly appreciate this intense aspect of sport if you have lived and breathed it.  Even today I lean heavily on this experience as I work with people who are truly focused on achieving their health and fitness goals.  As a therapist I have had the pleasure of working with all kinds of people- from the guy next door to the world champion elite athlete.

I've had the opportunity to practice massage and personal training on 3 contenents, which has allowed me a great breadth of exposure to the health and fitness industry as a whole.  My formal training began in 2001 at the New Zealand College of Massage Therapy and I have not stopped studying since. I've traveled all over Europe and to the US many times seeking the best courses in exercise science.  My practical experience is as international as my education- in 2003/04 I travelled through Europe with the New Zealand Olympic kayak team leading up to the Athens Games.  In a 3 year span in the UK, I managed 6 very successful massage therapy clinics.

I have extensive experience working with injured clients, having worked alongside physiotherapists and chiropractors for many years while investing heavily in my own continuing education.  As a trainer who understood the mechanics of injury very well I found my services to be very much needed and sought after. My strengths are in active rehabilitation, core and back conditioning, general strength and conditioning, and weight loss.
