bio

Nathan was born in White Rock B.C. but grew up in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. During his High School years at G.P. Vanier Nathan played nearly every varsity sport as well as in many community recreation leagues. After lettering in Football, Hockey and Soccer in his Grade 11 year, Nathan chose to focus on Football where he captained the Comox Valley Raiders to consecutive Provincial Championships in 1998 and 1999.
Nathan received a football scholarship to attend UBC, where he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Human Kinetics in 2005. During his time at UBC Nathan captained the Varsity Football Squad and was awarded both Athletic and Academic All-Canadian status. He also received the prestigious Russ Jackson Award as the "CIS Football Player Best Exemplifying Athletic Ability, Scholarship and Citizenship", as well as the Bobby Gaul award as UBC's Top Male Athlete. Nathan signed a free-agent contract with the BC Lions of the CFL upon completing his eligibility at UBC in 2005.
Nathan has been working in the Health and Fitness industry since 2002 including the past 5 years with Level 10 Fitness, and is currently serving as the General Manager for the North Shore Winter Club location since it's opening in the spring of ‘08. Nathan was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the UBC Football Team 2004-06 and has been called upon to provide his expertise to the many High School, Provincial, University and National teams trained by Level 10 Fitness Inc.
Nathan is NCCP certified in Olympic lifting and several sports including soccer and basketball. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and is Crossfit Level 1 certified as well.
